The Pacers won three championships in ABA League between 1970 and 1973. After the Pacers joined the NBA in 1976, they performed poorly for more than a decade. However, in the mid-1990s, teams led by guard Reggie Miller reached the Eastern Conference Finals in 1994, 1995, and 1998. In 2000 the Pacers reached the NBA Finals fro the first time.
